Svanemølle Fleamarket

So the flea market season has officially started. My favourite is still the one at Frederiksberg on a Saturday but I also enjoy the one at Svanemølle Station on a Sunday. It is a lot smaller than Frederiksberg but still has a good selection of stalls. There are a lot of clothes for sale here but usually they are good quality. It starts around 9am so get their early for the best stuff but please wait until the stallholders have set up!IMG_4653

I always find some treasures here – last weekend I got a large Bodum Chambord silver cafetiere for 50dkk and a fab Anne Black vase for the same. I regularly see very a la mode Danish design things here and always at great prices. The good thing about this market is there are rarely stalls selling real tat.IMG_4654

I shall be having a stall here on the 19th June so if you are interested in some great preschool and early years toys, unworn clothes and other useful stuff, make sure you come along to see me there. IMG_4655IMG_4656

  1. Dear Melanie,

Just found your blog through thecopenhagentales.com.
I’m going to stay in Copenhagen from the 25th to the 30th of August and my biggest dream is to visit flea markets because like you, I’m a great vintage lover and collector of retro scandinavian porcelain, pottery, design things… could you tell me which flea markets can I find in Copenhagen during those days? search through the internet is being a bit complicated in this particular topic, many references but the information is a bit confusing. I would be very very grateful if you could help me a little!

    Thanks a lot,

    Christina
