CLOSED Copenhagen Health Week – 24 -30 August GIVEAWAY

New posts tomorrow but until then today is the last day to enter the Copenhagen Health Week competition. Its the perfect way to try out something new this summer. In case you missed the original post here it is…

Since my accident I have been leading a much less healthy lifestyle than I normally would – too much sugar and unhealthy food and not enough exercise. Although there has been some excuse the time has now come to get a handle on this, so I was delighted when the organisers of Copenhagen Health Week (which is taking place 24 -30 August) approached me to help promote the week here. copenhagen health weekThe week offers ticket holders the chance to see the latest in training and exercise, try new and exciting sports activities, to get inspiration for a healthier diet and to get updated on the latest trends in health and exercise. There are also workshops being held all over the city covering healthy eating and exercise.  It sounded exactly what I need right now!

I was particularly interested in free access to Fitness DK centres and their class schedule for the week as it has been ten years since I last belonged to a gym and it would be great to see what is on offer here.  I have always liked the idea of trying out diving so a free try out session at Dykkeroplevelser.dk sounds like fun as does free entry to the Royal Golf driving range.

Add to that discounts at many healthy eating places such as Green Sushi and Paleo and workshops on mindful eating and yoga and body mediation, I should be a new woman by the end of the week.

There is so much more than this going on during Copenhagen Health Week – visit their website to find out what you fancy.

Now for the giveaway! Copenhagen Health Week has kindly given me four pairs of tickets to give away to four lucky readers. Just leave a comment below telling me what you would like to do during the week if you won the tickets (pop over to Copenhagen Health Week to decide, they have an English section)  and I will draw four winners at random (usual way – my son, a trifle bowl and folded up pieces of paper!). The competition closes at midnight on 27 July and I will announce the winners the next day.

  1. I would do everything.been round and about looking for “my kind of sport” but never came across anything I trully liked. It would be such a great opportunity to try different sports and restaurants to finally find what makes me tick 🙂

  2. Im a plus sized fitness fanatic, i recently moved to copenhagen and thought biking would be the easiest and best way for me to commute to and from work. That was until a car knocked me clean off the road and i’ve been rehabilitating myself back into things.Needless to say my usual activities of samba, yoga and swimming have been lacking since the fall so this seems like the perfect kick up the bottom i need and would be fun to try new things too! I love the idea of diving and anything on water/in water in general!
    🙂

  3. I’ve been wanting to get into golfing this year, and seeing as the Royal Club is super close to where I live, that’d be awesome to try! The farmer’s market at Torvehallerne is also a must for me.

  4. Since having a baby (she is now 1yr old) I’ve wanted to get back into some sort of fitness routine and Copenhagen seems the place to do it!

I’ve tried a few things since I’ve been here (4 months) and now that she has started vuggestue, I should have the time to commit to a class/session regularly.

  5. I think it’s hard to choose, but I could definitely see myself trying out mountain biking, astanga yoga, TRX, a personal trainer with discount, and maybe even diving, if I’d find the courage for it.

  6. This year I’ve had more free time than I have wanted, so to fill it up I’ve tried a few kinds of dance and workouts. Now I’m back to having a “routine” with work/studies, but I wanna keep the momentum I have with working out. Therefore, if I won one of these tickets, I’d like to try poledancing and Fitness DK, as I’m currently looking for a gym that suits my weird schedule.

  7. Although not being a fitness fanatic, I try my best to keep fit and eat healthy food.
Since I moved to Copenhagen from Italy, fresh fruit and vegetables are part of my daily diet 🙂
The festival looks very interesting and offering a lot of activities that I would love to try: yoga festival on top (since I have never tried it yet except through youtube videos!)
I am interested also in the food events..rarely miss one here in Copenhagen 😀

    Fingers crossed!

  8. I would try everything possible! 🙂 I love sports, and since I moved to CPH, I started to live more healthy life, I started running…This would be great opportunity to meet new amazing people and see all the events and try new things 🙂

  9. Currently looking to get back into a fitness regime after, what seems like a long spring/summer break. The mindful eating and yoga meditation workshop sounds very appealing. I would also love to attend the Copenhagen Yoga Festival. Cheers!

  10. I would try one of the yoga events, I have heard great things but have always been hesitant to try with the price of classes.

  11. Hey !
I would love to combine fitness activities and eating 😀

  12. Rundtur i Det Kongelige Teater + dans ballet med internationale stjerner 🙂
    og
Intensiv pilates og yoga i Nørrebroparken med BodyResources 🙂

  13. Wow, what a cool week- how do we choose. Love the mountain biking option-this might give me the push start i need. Also loving the mindfulness and the food sessions. Could be a very busy and filled week!

  14. I am new to Cooenhagen therefore it would be a great start in the city to see which things they offer.
I would love to try out everything related to water sports! Also I would love to find some healthy markets and restaurants. I think on top of that sport is always a great way to make new friends 🙂

  15. I’d love the food markets to inspire some fall cooking, and the mindfulness sessions to help me find my zen after the chaos of summer holidays.
