I am often asked by readers about my weekend plans so I thought I’d share what we got up to this weekend. We enjoy going somewhere for lunch or brunch on a Saturday and this week we did something a little unusual. The girls behind Sweet Sneak teamed up with Sophia Made in Italy to run a pop up cafe in Vesterbro. We booked in for the brunch and to say it was delicious is an understatement. Everything was homemade and even the furniture in the cafe came from the organisers’ homes. When they run this again I can strongly recommend getting a booking.
We had planned to take one of the swan pedalos on the Lakes out after brunch but as there was a big rain storm brewing they were not letting people go out onto the lake. We raced the rain home and then stayed cosy inside with Lego and homemade pizzas, and once my son was asleep watched a trashy end of the world film.
Sunday morning for me means flea markets and my new favourite is a Svanemøllen Station. As usual the earlier you get there the better and I was lucky enough to get my hands on this gold jacket for 70kr. I decided to defy the humidity and cycle to the one at Charlottenlund Station after this recommendation. It was good but I am not sure it was worth the sweaty cycle. The glimpse of Charlottenlund Fort was though and it is definitely on my to visit list before the summer is over.
The rest of the day disappeared with playing with my son, running errands, some work and this is how it ended…..
How was your weekend?
