The Black Diamond, the modern harbourside extension to the Royal Library, has been somewhere I have long wanted to visit but until the launch of the 9A bus route it was always somewhere I planned to walk to but never quite got round to. I am glad I did. It is a peaceful place to visit and also to study with the added bonus of the deckchairs outside on the harbour front.
They have a very interesting programme on their International Authors’ Stage at affordable prices. Kofi Annan and Michael Palin were a recent speakers here at 110kr.
A lot has been written about The Black Diamond and I thought I knew what to expect but I was surprised at how many textures and patterns I saw around the building. It was also very interesting to seamlessly move from the modern building to the historic one behind. Here are some of the things that caught my eye.
Beautiful textures! Wish you could show me in person!
It would be a delight! x
