When I was a child it was always a tradition to put up our Christmas tree when school finished for the year. As an adult and in my own home, we would do this the weekend before Christmas. So the shortest day this year found us decorating our beautiful tree with decorations full of history and memories, new and old. It was a wonderful experience explaining all the decorations to my son and watching him putting on his own special decorations and making new memories.
