I have walked along Allegade in Frederiksberg probably a thousand times but I never noticed a little green sign pointing to this amazing little hidden gem, close to the Rådhuspladsen until Hele Gram told me about it.

Down a narrow walk way between two yellow houses is a beautiful oasis. There is a small playground at the front but the rest of the garden is divided into large plots of rose bushes. Each plot has just one variety so I can only imagine the divine assault on the senses come the summer in this small enclosed space. There are little benches dotted around and the trees are full of birds in full song.

There is a kindergarten at the end of the Rose Garden and their great playground is open at the weekends – so an added bonus if you have children.
