A few months ago I was invited to share four insider tips of things to do or places to go in the city to be included in Expedia’s new guide to movie locations across the world. Of course the movie was The Danish Girl with Eddie Redmayne and the guide points you in the direction of some of the main filming locations. Leckerbaer This small pastry shop is located in Østerbro close to the city centre. Run by two chefs whose passion is pastries, this cozy little place sells various kinds of small delectable and beautiful biscuits, cream puffs and madeleines, and wonderful coffee.

Øl og Brød (Beer and Bread)This stylish bar and restaurant serves a carefully created selection of modern smørrebrød (open sandwiches) and small lunch plates as well as a decent selection of Mikkeller craft beers including gluten-free beers. Great place to try a modern take on traditional Danish food.

Enjoy a trip around the beautiful harbour and canals of Copenhagen captaining your own a silent solar-powered boat (Easter to October). The boats feature a small table to enjoy a picnic or a glass of bubbly and hold up to eight people.
