Hardly anything is open on a Sunday here in Copenhagen and I actually find that quite refreshing and we usually take the opportunity to have a good walk in the fresh air.
Every Sunday I will post one of my favourite spots in the city for a Sunday stroll….most are great any time of the year. So for the first one...Frederiksberg Have.
There a number of reasons why we love this place- the biggest is the fact you can see the elephants in the Zoo from the park, always a gamble if they are out or not, and always a delight when they are.
Winter time – great sledging opportunities, skating rink at the main entrance.
Spring – a vast abundance of flowers
Summer – it has to be the Sankt Hans Aften or midsummer celebration on the lake.
Autumn – the amazing colours of the trees.
And all year round the huge number of birds including what seems like millions of herons.
Truly a park for all seasons.
