Two podcast episodes you need to listen to today!

I listen to podcasts for several hours a day, usually when I am travelling to and from school drop off and pick up. I have a very eclectic selection I listen to from business building ones to comedy ones to more serious news ones and a lot in between.

Over the last month there have been two particular episodes put out on two podcasts which I really want to share with you. Neither are from podcasts which are aimed specifically at expats but the content really resonated with me.

The first is from Thyme is Honey’s {link} podcast called Plan Podcast {link}. Dani Bruflodt has recently moved to Copenhagen but her podcast is not about that. She concentrates on how to plan and make your life better. Below is what she says about herself on her website.

“I’m just a girl who loves planning, productivity, a big glass of water, and a drawer full of pens! I advocate for happy, healthy living and help people live a balanced life through the use of my organizational designs and weekly chats with you on the Plan Podcast.”

The episode I loved and thought would be useful to you is Episode 8 Planning to downsize {link}  where she talks candidly about her and her husband’s move to Copenhagen from the US and how they managed the process of downsizing. This one is useful to you if you are in the early stages of planning your relocation. I love all her episodes which are full of great practical advice on tons of different topics so do check out the rest!

The second episode I wanted to recommend is from a podcast called Nobody Panic {link} This one is presented by Tessa Coates and Stevie Martin, two British comedians.  What they say about the podcast:

“Your guidebook to being a fully functioning adult without screaming all the time. Each week, Stevie Martin and Tessa Coates tackle life’s big, small, fun and sometimes scary questions with the help of experts and special guests because we’re all in this together, guys. So nobody panic.”

These women are very funny and although I think I am probably a bit older than their target listeners, I find it often very funny and useful. Their episode entitled How to move to a new city {link} really nailed it in terms of great advice, especially relevant to people moving abroad. I agreed with so much of what they said (and it is the advice I so often give) so give it a listen, even if you have been living in a new city for a while.
