Over the time I have lived in Copenhagen I have had hit and miss experience with hairdressers. In general they are expensive and whilst I stick with a hairdressers I use, I have always been slightly disappointed. At first I thought that when I showed the hairdresser the picture of what I wanted done, they actually thought I meant I would like something that looks nothing like this. And let’s not get into the helmet hair incident straight after my son was born, the beacon red all over colour or the terrible bleach stripes. Joking aside, I have had some good experiences but I always felt they could be better.
So I was delighted to hear of an English hairdresser, Sharon, who had set up a freelance hairdressing business, Sienna Rae Design, where she comes to your home but you still get the salon experience, for a little less than you would pay in the salon. She also cuts children’s hair, which can be a painful experience in the hairdressers, in the familiar surroundings of your home.
Sharon arrived in good time for our appointment for a cut and blow dry armed with a very professional wheelie case carrying her mobile salon. She had already looked a few photos of me here on my blog and had some great ideas about some styles we could try, which coincided with ideas I had found on Pinterest. She got to work and I must say it was an experience to match a salon and I was delighted with the result. I felt she really listened, took time to understand my hair and the kind of style I wanted.

[…] haven’t had my hair cut since before Christmas and I wasn’t able to see my favourite hairdresser then so it was a bit of a disaster. Due to circumstance I haven’t had the chance to get it […]
